Elizabeth A. Pecsi, APR, Fellow PRSA has 33 years experience in leadership and strategic communications. The work she has performed as an executive communications director for Unisys has involved reorganizing, establishing, tracking and delivering worldwide strategic employee communications plans for C-level executives. The plans have supported and advanced the understanding and adoption of new business model behaviors.
During her 14 years with Unisys, she also initiated and fostered an internal strategic business planning process that contributed to building employee trust and delivering measurable business results. Prior to Unisys, she spent 13 years at San Diego Gas & Electric, where she established the strategic direction of a corporate communications function, as well as a business-to-business marketing initiative. She has a Bachelor of Arts in communications, with emphasis on public relations, from California State University Fullerton.
She has taught public relations at San Diego State University and other local colleges; has conducted workshops and presented on strategic business planning and performance management as critical organizational enablers often overlooked by public relations practitioners; and in 1996, she was recognized as Public Relations Professional of the Year by her peers.
She serves as a public relations advisor to Father Joe’s Villages, is a PRSA mentor and a member of PRSA's College of Fellows, and has assisted with PRSA's Strategic Plan Working Group.
