Gather around the fire with your Chapter members—it's time to warm up with PRSSA. The opening social, Bring Us Something PRSSA: Expanding Your Horizon, will allow PRSSA Conference-goers the opportunity to network with other public relations students while experiencing the sites of Utah. Get a taste of Utah through the red rocks and snow-capped mountains. Since 2003, the opening social has allowed each Chapter to bring souvenirs from their school to share with other students. Salt Lake City will continue this tradition—so start gathering the goods! Come sip, snack and mingle—a cup of hot chocolate is waiting for you! Cool as Ice Social No matter what the temperature is outside—it will be hot at the Cool as Ice Social. Music will be loud and dancing is mandatory! Frost yourself with "ice" and deck out in silver and white. Awards Ceremony The Awards Ceremony will take place at the exquisite Grand America Hotel, which served as headquarters during the 2002 Winter Olympics. With its intricate imported carped and vast chandeliers, the Grand Ballroom is the perfect venue for the semi-formal 2006 Awards Ceremony. This year we will also recognize revolutionaries and pace-setters in the public relations field with formal displays throughout the ballroom. Polar Bear Breakfast One, two, three—cheese! Gather your Chapter members and new friends for the Polar Bear Breakfast on the last day of Conference. A photographer will be on hand at the final gathering so you can take home a bit of Conference to remember your Salt Lake City experience.
