In this session, the 2010 Bateman Case Study Competition client, the U.S. Census Bureau, will discuss why the census exists, the challenges of promoting the census in previous years and unique features of the 2010 Census. The information shared will benefit all students and provide excellent background information for those competing in the Bateman Competition.

Stacy Gimbel is a public affairs specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau, where she has worked for three and a half years on promoting the 2010 Census and the annual American Community Survey.  She is the project manager for the Census Bureau on PRSSA's 2010 Bateman Competition.  Stacy graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in public relations and finance.
