Jana Hartline
Environmental Communications Manager
Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc.

Jana Hartline is manager of environmental communications for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc.

Jana is responsible for external communication relating to advanced technologies and initiatives associated with environmental issues; including fuel cells, plug-in hybrids, battery electric vehicles, environmental partnerships, energy issues and operational environmental efforts.

Jana joined TMS in 2004 as an environmental, health & safety engineer.  More recently, Jana worked in the Environmental Coordination Office (ECO) as an environmental planning specialist.  There, her duties included compilation of the annual Toyota North America environmental report, coordination of the TMS environmental action plan, participation in the North American Environmental Committee Working Group, coordination of the TMS Communication and Business Partners Working Groups, and management of TMS Earth Day activities.  

In addition to her time at TMS, Jana volunteers with Los Angeles based charities Tree People and Reading to Kids, serves as the Donald Bren School Class Chair of annual giving and is a member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (CA Chapter) and the Public Relations Society of America.  

Jana earned her Masters in Environmental Science and Management at the Donald Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and her Bachelor of Science in Ocean and Coastal Resource Management from Texas A&M Galveston.


Amy K. Taylor
Environmental, Safety & Quality Communications
Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc.

Amy K. Taylor is the environmental, safety and quality communications specialist at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.  In this role, she serves as a spokesperson for Toyota’s advanced technology efforts, environmental operational efforts, sustainable mobility strategy, and vehicle quality and safety.

Prior to joining Toyota in 2008, Amy was the public relations manager at Kia Motors America, Inc. where she lead all external and internal corporate communications, corporate social responsibility programming, social media efforts, marketing sponsorship communications including partnerships with the Vans Warped Tour, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and 16 NBA teams, and supported all product launches.  Amy’s experiences include supporting and project managing international and domestic development communications initiatives with Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. in Las Vegas and supporting live theatrical productions and content development at Clear Channel Entertainment in New York City.  

Amy volunteers as a disaster relief public information officer with the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross.  She is a member of the Motor Press Guild, Automotive Press Association and the Public Relations Society of America.  

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications specializing in public relations from Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J., where she served as 2001-2002 PRSSA chapter president and received the PRSSA National Gold Key Award.  She completed her graduate studies in arts administration at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
