What is the Career Development Exhibition?
The Career Development Exhibition is an annual event held during the Public Relations Student Society of America's National Conference. The purpose of the exhibition is to provide attendees with a wide exposure to tools, resources, and services for the public relations industry. It is an excellent opportunity for students interested or currently pursuing careers in public relations to see what resources are available to them while studying public relations, as well as upon entering the profession. It provides a unique opportunity for companies who specialize in the industry to showcase their products and services to one of the largest groups of future public relations practitioners in the country.
What is PRSSA?
PRSSA (www.prssa.org), is the world's pre-eminent, pre-professional public relations organization. It currently has more than 9,600 members from 291 Chapters across the country and one international. Each year, PRSSA hosts an annual National Conference that provides students an opportunity to participate in professional development and gain a hands-on look into the profession. The Career Development Exhibition is key to enhancing their experience by allowing attendees to learn more about the resources available to professionals practicing in the communications and public relations industry.
Who should participate in the Career Development Exhibition?
Companies who provide valuable tools and services to the public relations and communications profession and organizations geared toward providing resources for college students. We invite and encourage you to participate in the exhibition and showcase your resources to more than 800 students. Educate students about your products and services and increase exposure to your business, especially these offering public relations internships or entry-level opportunities.
Where and when is the Exhibition being held?
The event is being held at the Renaissance Marriott during the 2008 National Conference. Save the date for Monday, October 27, 2008. Set-up time for you table will be between 1:00 p.m.– 1:45 p.m. so the doors can open promptly at 2:00 pm. and will remain open until 5:00 p.m.
How much does it cost my company to participate?
Your company’s participation in the exhibition is free! However, you will be responsible for your travel to the event and any audio/visual equipment you choose to have at your booth(s).
