Denise Kreft

  • 2007-2008 Vice President of Internships/Job Services

Denise Kreft, PRSSA 2007-2008 vice president of internships/job services, is a senior at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is pursuing a major in Advertising and Marketing Communications.

Denise Kreft joined PRSSA during her sophomore year at the Fashion Institute of Technology. There she served on the volunteer sub-committee and as a PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition team captain. She was also her chapter’s delegate for the PRSSA 2006 National Assembly in San Francisco.

She became the FIT Chapter President in the fall of 2006. During her presidency, she revamped Chapter meetings raising member attendance and retention. She also introduced a new executive board position that encouraged professional development. She was awarded the 2006 National President Citation Award and the 2006 PRSA-NY Student Recognition Award.

Denise Kreft has also served on the National Sub-committee for Jobs and Internships, where she assisted Melissa Csuhran in obtaining JobCenter listings for her assigned states.

Professionally, Denise Kreft has spent more than two years in various internships. She has interned for Rafe New York, LVM Group and Capelin Communications. She currently serves as an intern for Janine Gordon and Associates, where some of her duties include media monitoring, creating mock-ups, assisting the account directors and creating databases. She has earned the nicknames “Niezal” and “Super Intern” both of which she wears proudly.

Denise Kreft is a consistent winner of the Dean’s List and is a member of the Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa.

Denise Kreft enjoys traveling, reading, chocolate, Marc Jacobs shoes, Rafe Handbags and shoes, shopping with her uncle, beaches, sunsets, dancing to DJ Madaro, stargazing, taking pictures, networking, watching movies, spending time with friends, baking and talking to her loving family.
