Jennifer Rice
- 2006-2007 Vice President of Professional Development
Jennifer K. Rice, PRSSA 2006-2007 vice president of professional development, is a senior at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. She is a public relations major with a minor in sociology.
Jennifer has been an active member of PRSSA since her first semester freshman year. As a sophomore she served as the regional activity director and as a junior, president of the BSU PRSSA Chapter.
Aside from being an active member of PRSSA, Jennifer has also been committed to her Chapter’s student-run firm, Cardinal Communications. As a freshman, she worked as Account Coordinator on the identity team, progressively working on the identity of the organization. As a sophomore, she was promoted to Senior Account Manager, SAM, where she lead a team of six students and planned the Journalism Department’s end of the year gala. Jennifer has worked with such clients as a start-up non-profit, a department on campus, a national coffee company and an international dog trainer. As a senior, Jennifer is the firm’s Executive Assistant, working with both current and prospective clients.
Professionally, Jennifer worked this summer as a public relations intern at Citigate Sard Verbinnen, a financial, crisis and media training public relations agency in Chicago. Prior to her summer in Chicago, she worked as the public relations clerk for the Ball State Department of Public Safety. Jennifer has also worked as the marketing intern for two summers at STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION, a business-to-business manufacturing corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In her spare time, Jennifer loves spending time with friends and family, outdoors-- especially boating, swimming, camping, biking, hiking, water sports, the movies, the arts and traveling.
