Michael Cowen

  • 2005-2006 Vice President of Member Services

Michael Cowen is a junior at Loyola University New Orleans where he will complete a communications major with a concentration in public relations and a minor in business administration. His practical public relations experience comes from an internship at Deveney Communication located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

After a semester displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Michael is excited to be back in New Orleans and part of Re-New Orleans.

Michael served as the director of public relations for Loyola’s Chapter of PRSSA and Student Government Association during his sophomore year. His PRSSA experience began his freshman year with the 2003 PRSSA National Conference in New Orleans. As a Conference volunteer, he completed various and sundry tasks including the official role of Conference photographer.

He additionally serves as an orientation leader, departmental tour coordinator and University Ministry Awakening retreat staff member. All the while, he manages to find time to be a member of Loyola’s swim team, participate in Loyola Bateman events and appear regularly on the Dean’s List.
