Kansas State University Volunteers at the Greater Kansas City PRSA PRISM Awards
MANHATTAN, KS - The Kansas State University PRSSA Chapter volunteered at the prestigious PRISM awards hosted by the Greater Kansas City Chapter of PRSA on Oct. 19. The Chapter assisted with the event’s sign-in table in return for admission to the award ceremony and dinner. PRSSA members at the event had the opportunity to network with top influencers in the public relations industry from the region.
This year’s PRISM awards ceremony was entitled “An Evening of Madness” and was based on the popular television show “Mad Men.” The ceremony honored the best and brightest in the public relations field working in the Kansas City region.
Prior to this event, the PRSSA Chapter participated in an agency tour at Digital Evolution Group (DEG). DEG is a growing e-consultancy firm in Overland Park, KS that specializes in building clients’  online branding. In addition to a tour of the company, the Chapter heard from Ramsey Mohsen, the firm’s director of social media. He spoke on social media best practices and how to transition from college to career.
