Information for Nonmembers

An official PRSSA member must pay dues with an established, local Chapter. Please read the following guidelines, Establish a Chapter, to see if your school is eligible for a Charter. If a college/university does not meet the requirements, there is still a variety of learning and networking opportunities available for non-members:

National Conference
Students from around the nation convene each fall for four days of professional development, career advancement opportunities, resume critiques, networking events, socials and much more. Non-members are welcome to attend this event at a different registration fee that is comparable to the member rate. Recent Conference locations include New Orleans, San Francisco, Atlanta and Chicago.

Regional Activities
Organized and hosted by PRSSA Chapters at various locations across the country, these spring sessions serve as mini-conferences. Regional Activities provide a more localized means to meeting public relations students and professionals. Non-members are encouraged to check with the individual Chapter hosting an event to inquire registration fees.

PRSSA-Talk
This e-mail list engages members in discussions about the public relations profession and PRSSA’s many programs. Membership and participation is free to all users.

Message Board
This is a section on the main Web site where visitors can post questions and comments related to the profession and Society. Discussion is open to all users.

www.prssa.org
The Society’s Web site offers valuable information to all users. By frequently visiting the site, one can read highlights from all national publications, as well as local Chapter news.

For more information regarding membership, contact the national vice president of member services.
