2002-03 PRSSA Annual Report

Message from the National President and Immediate Past President

Natalie Neczypor, National President
Dirk Munson, Immediate Past President

Unite Vision, Inspire Passion. The 2002 2003 PRSSA National Committee entered the new year thoroughly inspired to take action to improve, rejuvenate and to inject a united vision to inspire passion into the Society.

We began by surveying the JobCenter to identify how many members use the center or even know of its existence.

We increased communication with student-run firms and designated PRSSA/PRSA Relationship Month in October.

The first steps to inspire the passion and vision of the organization were researching new audiences for our public relations outreach program, adding a resourceful and educational Day of Competition at our National Assembly and hosting two community outreach programs.

FORUM was revamped into a newspaper and Connecting with PRSSA was revitalized, introducing a new and improved look to the leadership newsletter.

July 26, 2002 marked the launch of the culmination of hard work and vision of our webmasters, Sergei Golitsinski (2001 2002) and Roman Gaponenko (2002-2003). The new PRSSA Web site includes easier navigation allowing members to keep abreast with the latest updates and news.

Knowing more information about our members helped us to develop PRSSA into a living body of knowledge through a situational analysis.

We created this annually updated document to educate future PRSSA National Committees and all members about PRSSA's vision for the future. With identified methods to improve member retention and the transition of committees both at a national level and at the Chapter level, the Society will continue its advancement. Through this document, we hope to inspire our future members to work toward one mission "Advancing the Profession and the Future Professional."

The 2002 2003 PRSSA National Committee anxiously awaits the next steps of the Society. We hope our united vision and inspired passion will advocate all members toward future public relations and professional success.

Thank you to all who made this year memorable and to next year's committee keep on uniting the vision and inspiring the passions of our members across the country.
