About the PRSA Technology Section
PRSA's Technology Section (www.tech.prsa.org), established in 1985, serves communications specialists who have interests in a broad spectrum of activities, including promoting an understanding of technology and related issues, developing marketing communications for high-tech products and services, and using the Internet and multimedia tools and techniques as part of public relations strategies and tactics. Among the Section programs and activities are professional development seminars, sponsorship of the annual Excellence in Technology Journalism Awards, a comprehensive Web page and an electronic newsletter.
The Technology Section named the grant after Joseph Codispoti, APR, a long-time member of the PRSA Technology Section leadership. Joe played a key role in starting the student grant program. He passed away in 1996 after a battle with cancer.
