Stephen D. Pisinski Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500 stipend is awarded to a qualified public relations student

The Stephen D. Pisinski Memorial Scholarship was established in 2002 at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The scholarship was developed by Allison & Partners in memory of Steve Pisinski, APR, Fellow PRSA and founder of The Montgomery Group. Each fall, a $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a qualified public relations student chosen by the Selection Committee.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Eligible majors: journalism, communications, and public relations.

  2. Eligible levels: junior or senior level only.

  3. Applicants must have at least a 3.3 overall grade point average on a 4.0 system.

  4. Applicants must be members of the Public Relations Student Society of America, and leadership positions are a plus.

Application Requirements

  1. A resume including any academic honors, special projects, activities and/or work experience/training which you would like to be taken into consideration.

  2. An official transcript of all college studies, including grades of the preceding semester.

  3. An essay of 1000 words or less stating your career goals

  4. Two strong writing samples.

  5. Two letters of academic and/or professional recommendations. The person making the recommendation should send the letter under separate cover directly to PRSSA Headquarters.

Mail the completed application form and other required items to PRSSA Headquarters by Monday, June 2, 2008. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Send applications and other required items to:
