National President’s Citation

2008 application form: PDF | Word

Deadline: Monday, June 2, 2008
Awards: Certificate

Excellence is what PRSSA strives for: excellence in public relations, university service, community activities and professional development. A diverse group of students makes PRSSA the nation's preeminent pre-professional public relations organization. Many of these members go beyond expected service to the Society by contributing nationally or to chapters in a meritorious way. The National President's Citation was created to celebrate and honor such members.

Every chapter is encouraged to recommend any outstanding members for this award. A maximum of two members per chapter will be chosen to receive a President's Citation. Recipients are a distinguished group within PRSSA. Members who submit nominating materials should possess leadership and professional skills, have a strong understanding of PRSSA and be an active member on the chapter and/or national level. All nomination forms and accompanying material should be sent to PRSSA Headquarters. PRSSA will forward all material to the PRSSA National President.

Entries will be judged by the PRSSA National President based on the following:

  • A one-page essay stating why he/she should be chosen to receive a Citation, based on personal contributions to the success of the chapter, as well as how membership in PRSSA has influenced personal and professional development.

  • A list of his/her PRSSA activities and honors.

  • A signed letter of recommendation from the nominee's Faculty or Professional Advisor.

  • An optional one-page typed, double-spaced, signed endorsement by any chapter member may accompany the nomination form.

Nomination form, essay and letters of recommendation must be received by: Monday, June 2, 2008
