2006 PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition
Timeline
- Tuesday, September 13 – Case Study, Q&A, Judging Criteria and Intent-to-Enter form mailed to PRSSA Chapters.
- Monday, October 24 - Display at the 2005 Career Development Exhibition during the PRSSA National Conference.
- Monday, November 7 - Deadline for receipt of Intent-to-Enter Form and entry fee to PRSSA Headquarters, 33 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038-5150.
- Monday, November 14 - Acknowledgement letter mailed to participating Chapters. *Please note; if your team does not receive a letter by Friday, November 25, contact PRSSA Headquarters at (212) 460-1476.
- February 1-28 - Month to implement special events such as awareness campaigns. Any special events taking place as a result of your campaign implementation must occur between February 1 though 28. Failure to comply with this timeframe will result in disqualification.
- Friday, March 24 – Deadline for receipt of entries at PRSSA headquarters (four copies of your entry must be received).
- Saturday, April 15 & Sunday, April 16 – Judges to select six finalists (three from each category).
- Monday, April 17 - The six finalist teams are notified by PRSSA. Results are posted to the PRSSA Web site and e-mailed to each participating team’s contact person.
- Friday, April 21 – Score sheets are e-mailed to each team’s contact person.
- May – Each of the three top teams in the two categories give their final presentations to a group of Judges from Habitat for Humanity and PRSA. 1st 2nd and 3rd place teams will be notified.
- Monday, November 13, 2006 – Winning teams receive special recognition at the PRSSA 2006 National Conferences in Salt Lake City, UT.

PRSSA chapters are chartered by the PRSA National Board of Directors and must meet the following criteria: - The chapter's university must offer a sequence of at least five courses in public relations.
- The chapter must have a minimum of 10 students, at least one of whom has completed a public relations course. The rest have to exhibit an interest in taking public relations classes, either in writing or by enrolling in such a class.
- At least eight students have to be at or below the junior level.
- The students must elect a faculty advisor, who must be a full-time instructor of public relations and a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
- The students must elect one or two professional advisors, both of which have to be members of PRSA. At least one of the professional advisors must have at least five years of experience in the profession or be accredited by PRSA.
- The chapter's application must be endorsed by the president and four members of the sponsoring PRSA chapter.
