2011 Random Acts of Kindness Campaign

PRSSA_2010_RAOK_CampaignRegister online Jan. 6–24.

The 2011 Random Acts of Kindness Campaign is a chance for you to be recognized, compete at the national level, and work with a real client to apply public relations problem-solving skills you’ve learned in the classroom.

In teams of either three or four, you are challenged to research, plan, implement and evaluate a public relations campaign for the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation.

Judges will look for thorough research, outlining of appropriate strategies, tactics and campaign objectives, specific activities conducted to carry out strategies and tactics, and evaluation that accurately measures your campaign’s effectiveness. Remember to use your research as the foundation for all planning and be creative.

“I firmly believe the Bateman Competition is the best experience a student studying public relations can take part in. Different than a campaign class, you actually have to execute your plan; and different than an internship, where you may only be assisting on a few PR components of a project or a campaign, you are seeing the process through, start to finish, and you are making the decisions.”
