Scholarship Spotlight
PRSA/PRSSA Internship Program
PRSA and PRSSA are teaming up again to offer two twelve-week long internships at National Headquarters. This program will give Junior or Senior students hands-on experience in the field and an opportunity to apply their classroom skills to actual public relations projects. The students will work closely with the Directors of Public Relations and Education on several projects. Application and full qualifications needed are on the scholarship page.

National Committee Updates

READ ALL ABOUT IT! The National Committee has just published the Society's situation analysis available on the national Web site. The 50-page document includes job descriptions of the Committee, as well as extensive research, history and insight. All Chapter leaders are encouraged to read the analysis and use it as a template for their own Chapter documentation.

Regional Activity Corner

Otterbein College:
Otterbein College PRSSA is proudly hosting a Regional Activity called, "A Day in the Life." This conference is Saturday, April 9, 2005 and is comprised of three sessions with 13 different speakers, an internship fair, and lunch followed by an awards ceremony. "A Day in the Life" will be a great way to network with other students and professionals. You will also be able to learn more about the public relations profession as well as what your social life is like once you become a professional. It is conference all PRSSA students in the Ohio area should attend. We look forward to seeing you there!

Ball State University:
Come attend Cardinal Rules: Uncovering the Secrets of Public Relations April 8-9. In addition to the many speakers we have coming, we have a great swing dance social on April 8th after a day of great speakers. American University:
Are you interested in networking with PRSA members, exploring opportunities in public relations in the nation's capital or learning about the various sectors of PR from leaders in the field? Cal State Fullerton:
The O.C. meets Hollywood as the California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) Chapter of PRSSA hosts California Dreaming: Public Relations in the Entertainment Industry" regional conference April 22 and 23, 2005. The conference will take place on the Orange County campus of CSUF drawing speakers from all facets of Entertainment Public Relations in the Southern California area. Activities will include a number of seminars and lectures hosted by industry professionals, a studio tour and a regional awards banquet and ceremony. Feel free to come early or stay longer to explore the beaches of sunny O.C., spend a day at Disneyland, or take in an Angel's game at Edison Field. From movie stars, fashion and sports to music, art and amusements - experience all that Southern California has to offer in Entertainment PR. National Conference Preview

2005 PRSSA National Conference - Miami Beach, Florida - Fontainebleau Hilton.

The 2005 National Conference Committee is excited to announce the 2005 PRSSA National Conference, "Turn Up The Heat - Blending Voice and Perspectives" in Miami Beach, Florida at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort. The 2005 Conference will be held Oct 21-25 and will offer attendees a great opportunity to learn, network and have fun.

The 2005 Conference Committee is currently working to provide one of the most fascinating Conferences ever. Currently they are working on selecting session speakers, finalizing the Conference logo and sponsorship. They will be presenting at the 2005 National Assembly in Dallas where more information and details will be given out about the Conference and the Magic City.

The 2005 Conference is being hosted by PRSSA University of Florida Alpha Chapter and includes Kara Czerniak, Conference Coordinator; Reynaldo Delgado, Programs Director; Daniel de Paz, Logistics Director and Susan Medina, Communications Director.
