Scholarship Spotlight

Deveney Communication Summer Scholar Internship
Deveney Communication, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, offers a unique opportunity for students nationwide to hone integrated marketing skills. The Summer Scholar Program offers hands-on public relations experience. Students will have the chance to work alongside award-winning professionals as they sharpen communication skills, complete various communications projects and network for future opportunities.

The Summer Associates Program term will takes place May through August. Exact program term dates are flexible according to associate selection. Housing and transportation are available for the Summer Scholar Program, and compensation will be provided.

Regional Activity Update
“Going Out of Your Way for Your Career”
Ohio Northern University
April 21

Ohio Northern University is actively preparing for their Regional Activity, “Going Out of Your Way for Your Career,” held on Saturday, April 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Ohio Northern’s state-of-the-art Dicke Hall.

This regional activity is an opportunity to meet professionals from around the country. Featured speakers include: Chris Nelson, Senior Vice President and Director of Issues and Crisis Management at Ketchum Public Relations in New York City; Todd Bailey, Corporate Communications Manager for Atlantic Southeast Airlines in Atlanta; Karen Bailey, Media Strategist from Manning, Selvage and Lee in Atlanta; Gabe Boeckman, Online Communications Specialist at the Hoffman Agency in Denver; Randi Gatto of PR Newswire in North Carolina; and Evelina Solis Director of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Miami in Florida.

The Regional Activity will also feature a keynote presentation, networking opportunities, four-20 minute sessions and a panel session during lunch. Students are encouraged to bring their résumé and portfolio to share with professionals.
