PRSSA News Highlight

The Oct. 2 deadline for Regional Activity bids is just two weeks away, but it's not too late for your Chapter to consider hosting one of these events. Hosting a Regional Activity is a great way for Chapters to gain national exposure and event planning experience.

The Regional Activity Bid Form, located at the end of the Regional Activity Handbook, walks you through the planning phases and asks you to show your pre-planning efforts. Please contact Vice President of Regional Activities Bryan Blaise with questions regarding the bid form or bidding process.

Best Practice Showcase: Ohio Northern University

Ohio Northern keeps in touch with its PRSA Chapter by sending creative mailers to members throughout the year. For example, on one St. Patrick's Day the Chapter sent shamrocks with the phrase "We're lucky to have you as a professional mentor!" Chapter President Barbara Tate said many practitioners who come to speak at Chapter events say they still have the notes in their offices.

*Share your Chapter's best practices by posting on the Best Practices Forum or by e-mailing Vice President of Member Services Kimberly Gouz. One Chapter will be recognized in each Bi-weekly e-mail for demonstrating and sharing its innovative and creative ideas with the Society.
