Bateman Intent-to-Enter forms due November 6

The Bateman client, Family Caregiving.it's not all up to you! (FC101), will be present during the career development exhibition at the National Conference in Utah.

National dues deadline is November 1
The deadline for National dues is approaching. When submitting dues, please send one check or money order for your Chapter. You should also make certain your Faculty Advisor has reviewed and signed the dues form, and please keep copy for your records.

PRSSA Award Spotlight: PRSSA 2006 ETHICS ADVOCACY AWARDS

Has your advocacy for ethics and ethical behavior been an award-winning Chapter performance? If so, the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations plans to honor your Chapter and Faculty Advisor at the PRSSA National Conference during the Annual Awards Event November 13 in Salt Lake City! Best Practice Showcase: University of Florida

The University of Florida plans an annual etiquette dinner to help students prepare for job interviews and meetings with professionals that take place over meals. The Chapter targets not only public relations students, but students campus-wide. Last year's etiquette dinner, featuring Paul Siddle, President of the Executive Protocol Group, drew more than 150 students. Chapter President Lisa Johnson said she is excited to continue the tradition this year with the Chapter's third annual etiquette dinner.

If you are planning on attending the PRSSA 2006 National Conference in Salt Lake City, be certain to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. Currently, the Sheraton City Centre Hotel is sold out of rooms for Thursday, November 9 at the PRSSA rate of $115/night. However, the Sheraton still has rooms at the PRSSA rate on November 10-14. Once the rooms at the PRSSA rate are sold out, there will still be rooms available, but at the corporate rate of $129-149/night.

James DeVoy, FORUM Editor-in-Chief

Submissions for FORUM are currently being accepted for publication in the Winter 2007 edition. Interested members or Chapters should contact Editor-in-Chief James DeVoy at their earliest opportunity. Articles can range from profiles of professionals, reviews of Chapter activities, case studies of challenges facing PRSSA Chapters such as fundraising and recruitment, or even expository pieces on aspects of the profession as a whole.
