The 2007 Regional Activity line-up has been announced! See below for a list of events, topics and locations.

PRSSA Scholarship Spotlight: Daniel J. Edelman/PRSSA Award

This year's application for the Daniel J. Edelman/PRSSA Award has been recently added to the PRSSA Web site. This award was created by company executives and PRSSA to honor the legacy of Daniel Edelman and to remind young professionals that hard work, dedication and leadership do result in success. One outstanding PRSSA member will win a 3-month paid internship in one of Edelman's U.S. offices and a $1,500 cash award. All applications are due to PRSSA headquarters by December 30, 2006.

Best Practice Showcase: Rowan University

Rowan University hosts an annual Organ Donor Day to promote organ donor awareness. Throughout this day-long event with guest speakers, entertainment, food and prizes, Rowan PRSSA encourages students, faculty and members of the community to fill out organ donor cards. Rowan University also sponsors the National Organ Donor Awareness Competition (NODAC), inspiring PRSSA chapters around the country to organize their own Organ Donor Day.

*Share your Chapter's best practices by posting on the Best Practices Forum or by e-mailing Vice President of Member Services Kimberly Gouz. One Chapter will be recognized in each Biweekly e-mail for demonstrating and sharing its innovative and creative ideas with the Society.

The deadline to apply to become the PRWeek Student of the Year 2007 is December 22, 2006. Take advantage of this opportunity to devise and write a new campaign for a real client. Applicants will need to use their creativity and strategic ability to create a campaign that ensures the client achieves its desired objective.

This year's Community Service Initiative in Salt Lake City was a tremendous success because of member support during the Conference. Thank you to the 75 members who participated in the initiative and generated over 100 holiday cards. The cards will be distributed to Salt Lake City children's hospital during the holiday season.
